So I didn’t need to jump it, because the battery never died. After the 2nd time of the dealership saying it was the Hp fuel pump, I began looking into the battery and what you just described. That was when I had the battery tested and it was bad. I did have the dealership replace it.
Did you replace the Current Sensor too, or just the battery?

So I argued with the original dealership to check the sensor. They said it was “good”. The new dealership I just went to confirmed the sensor was bad. This new dealership replaced the sensor, HP fuel pump, and the feed line going to the pump. After getting it back it felt like it was truly fixed. Till it popped in limp mode again. However, 1 day later the car started making a weird noise and I smelt something burning. I pulled over on the side of the road and found my engine was dumping oil. Popped the hood and removed the engine cover and the foam shield to find the high pressure fuel pump the dealership just installed weeks prior was barely attached to the engine. It was missing a bolt on the back side and the bolt on top was sheared in half. The only thing that must have been holding it in place for so long was the preload on the connecting lines. To me I think this most recent time was caused by maintenance malpractice. Like the missing bolt wasn’t torqued or ran down all the way and vibration caused it to come out. Then the sheared bolt being over torqued. Anyways I am getting the car back this Friday and I believe it will be 100% fixed this time.

@Jack07231 Okay heres the long story short! Day after I left the comment saying the car went into limp mode again… It began making a new noise and within 5min I smelt something burning. Pulled over on the side of the road and found the engine was pouring out oil like a faucet running. Popped the hood and removed the engine cover to find where it was leaking. Saw the oil was coming from behind a foam shield. Removed that and found the HP fuel pump was installed improperly. Missing 1 out of 2 bolts, and the remaining bolt wasn’t torqued sheared in half. I have a hunch this most recent issue of the car going into limp mode was caused by maintenance malpractice by the dealership.
I will get the car back tomorrow.

I just can not believe what you have gone through with this problem, and to finally (hopefully) have it fixed only to find the pump was not tightened in place?! I agree that is your most recent problem. Who is fixing it? If the same dealer, I do hope they are towing it for free as well. My guess is that only one bolt was installed and because the HP Fuel Pump runs off a lobe on the camshaft, it just kept working the one bolt back and forth until it finally sheared. Make sure they are 1000% positive no threads are damaged in the mounting bolt holes; no gasket surface(s) are nicked and can leak and there are no oil leaks afterwards. They are supposed to install new pipes once they are loosened. I would insist they install new ones since they were moving back and forth with the fuel pump as it was working its was off the mounting surface.

Thank you for your follow up and I really hope this closes your problem for good.

Last and final update on this issue! Got the car back, and the issue was not fixed. I traded in the car 2 weeks after getting it back. Now it’s the dealerships problem 🤷🏼‍♀️

Good deal and I am glad to hear you are done with it. Just for reference, what year was your Traverse and how many miles were on it? Like ~160K?

My head still hurts from this thread.

Best of luck with the new vehicle.

Thanks for closing this out, I was wondering what ever happened... I wish you the best of luck with your new ride!!

I have not been able to pull updated codes since replacing the battery and alternator… the car is self deleting codes when it’s not actively having the issue.
to the tire pressure sensor codes. I need to replace 3 of the sensors, but its been a back burner issue since this has happened. Which those went bad about 2 weeks prior to all of these issues.
I do have health diagnostic status’s, however it was taken prior to replacing the battery and alternator. I did have the alternator tested again after replacing and it checked good. So that was when I started digging into the grounds and wiring coming from the alternator. The last option for my alternator still not putting out enough voltage if those checked good was the ECM. So I had all those connections and wires to the ECM shot with the multimeter and they checked good. So my guess was the ECM itself.
My theory is the battery isn’t getting enough voltage to power all the electronic systems, i.e. the fuel system, braking system, all of the things connected to the stabilitrak system. Which those three main systems that keep popping are all tied into the stabilitrak. Which is what lead me to dive into the alternator after realizing my battery was bad.
All grounds have been checked by a shop that I trust (not the dealership) and they checked good. We did do a visual inspection for corrosion and there wasn’t any.
I don’t think we checked the connections with the BCM though. I will have to update you on that once I can. I’m not a car girl, just an A&P mech so I don’t really know to much when it comes to avionics… just how to attempt troubleshooting issues. Single mom of 2 and both kids are recovering from surgeries so it has been hard trying to focus on the issue. Thats why I am here! Trying to see who can help put in their 2 cents and knowledge of cars because dealing with the dealership as a women they continue to attempt to f**k me over and talk to me like an idiot. I work in aviation, I know how to make the phrase “I don’t know” sound elegant to a pilot which is exactly what they are doing to me to buy time.
So as soon as I get a chance I will get updated info for you.
Have you considered having your power steering pump /rack &pinion examined and possibly replaced ive had a couple of the same issues you have mentioned specifically the stabillitrak issues and parking brake light as well as traction control light and was told that had a faulty/failing power steering pump.
I have a 2014 traverse. Not to mention i just got out it of the shop Wednesday and they had it for 8 days and had to have the flywheel (flex plate) replaced sounded like my engine was shot.. the rattling sound and ticking sound in synch with engines RPM speeds. I picked it up half fixed.. Tuesday I still have to drive 40 miles to cape girardeau Missouri to have to flex pipe for the exhaust replaced because it was throwing the check engine light with the p0430 code on scanner. Now im having this issues going on currently related to the power steering pump which they say im not covered for so now thats gotta come out of my pocket to have power steering pump replaced.

Also my tire presshre sensor monitor is lit up too because I recently has to replace my back passenger side rim due to their being a huge crack in the rim and it wasnt holding air in my tire and had to keep airing it up and bought 2 tires back to back until I went to a different tire shop ans the guy took the tire and rim off and showed me the crack. So the new stock rim I bought online didn't come with the tire sensor so now I was told it would be a 100 dollars for the to take the sensor out of ny old cracked rim to install it in my new stock rim I just bought and had replaced lol seems like its one thing after the other for me and im a single mother of 3 children so I don't exactly have a big chunk of cash sitting in my bank account or in a safe to keep chalking out for repair after repair on this dang thing lol
