I own a chevy traverse 2009 and I am having some issues

1. When I drive and hit a pot hole, the stability track/traction sensor light comes ON on the dashboard and then it goes away after a few seconds, do someone knows why I am getting this issue?

2. I bought a tire sensor (TMPS) and got it replaced but the car is not recognizing it, the sensor light still shows up on my dashboard, i already disconnected the battery but the sensor just comes back, any suggestion on how to fix this issue?

3. when I drive and I apply the brakes, I heard a sound, my brakes are Brand new as it was replaced this past June of this year, but the sound it makes when i press the brakes, does anyone know of a solution to this, i dont think my brakes are bad if they have been replaced recently.

1) Im thinking one of the wires to the sensor is damaged and or moves around too much.

2)did you do the relearn procedure? You have to press the remote buttons to get into the relearn- then go tire by tire (sequence indicated by the corner lamp that lights up).
when its done youll hear the honk.

3)What kind of sound... describe it.

FYI--
there are 2 methods to relearn the TPMS..

1)the manual method- is letting air out of the tire (whose corner lamp is on) until the car honks...

2)use the TPMS relearn tool (you can buy it). it resets the TPMS sensor in seconds... and does not require air to be let out.

Thanks for your reply rbarrios, do you know where the wires to the stability track sensor are? as for the brakes, when i drive and applying the brakes it sounds like something is scraping, it does not make a whistling sound. I am checking on ebay for the TMTPs relearning tool, but they are not compatible with my car. I have a 2009 chevy traverse LT FWD 3.6

As for the brakes... make sure there are no rocks stuck in the area of the rotor and calipers.
(had that before in my trailblazer). crossed a muddy stream.. and a small rock got stuff between the caliper/rotor.

when I applied brakes--- I heard a scraping sound.

rbarrios:

I replaced both wire sensors on the front tires, so when i drove today, message came back, does the rear tires also have the same sensors?

I took the car to the mechanic today and told him that the side mirrors doesnt work, i thought maybe a fuse which is under the glove compartment box may be bad but he said is fine, so what could it be? any suggestions?

as for the noise when i press the brakes, he said he adjusted it, put w40, so I will see when i drive later today.

that tool is good for resetting many years of GM sensors

Ive used it on

2007 Impala
2008 Lucerne
2010 Traverse
2010 Silverado
2012 Traverse
2013 Equinox

have you tried the manual method?

If you have the light up, you probably have some other issue. The tool is used after rotating the tires in order to tell the car which tire is now where. But if you rotate the tires and don't re-learn them, you will not get the light. But if a tire goes flat, you WILL get the light, but when you look on the DIC to see which tire it is, it will tell you it's where the tire used to be. For example: I've rotated the tires twice on my 2017 and haven't re-learned them with a tool. I have no light.

So again, if the light is up, this tool won't fix that.
