Hi,

Not the end of the world, but I missed a detail of this Chevrolet Traverse we recently purchased. The Z71 package does not seem to have the integrated garage door opener even after checking in the center instrument cluster as the videos online point to. Is there a standard or consensus in terms of whether the Z71 package has that?
If it did not come equipped is it something having to do with missing hardware or is it software related? If it is not as simple as a software update, what is required?

For now, we have a willing volunteer to jump out and open the door and can purchase a button at a big box store for about $30 to clip to the sunvisor. I suppose I assumed that was just built in on any mid to upper grade package in 2020's era family haulers.

The learn button usually only gives you less than a minute from pushing the opener button and making the mad dash to get in the vehicle to push buttons there.

Programming HomeLink on my new 2026 Traverse RS is a nightmare. Followed instructions on the screen to no avail. It says it sees the signal but won't program it to the car. Tried all possibilities including pushing the "Learn" button on my Liftmaster garage door opener. I believe programming is the same as a 2025. Followed many YouTube videos without luck. Any ideas?

Wasnt clear to me from discussion above, did you click on the link to the buick forum on how they couldnt find it, until someone posted how to find and add to your display?

Surprissed at how your trim does not have it.
Was it that big of a change.

my 23 has the 3 buttons, is an LT.
They were part of a package i think.
Wasnt something i would have ordered by itself. Maybe heated seat, garage, camera package or something.

2 yrs later, ive yet to use them.
I have the system where you program it to turn certain lights inside house and porch light on with the 2 buttons, 3rd turns them off.
On.my 2010 i used them way more when kids were small and we arrived home at night. Light up their path.

You have the top-of-the-line model. Of course you have it. The OP has the next to bottom trim; he doesn't have it. It's pretty clear to see looking at the Chevy website.

Only the High Country and RS come with it. Dumb to us, but it probably gets more folks to buy the higher trims.

But it shows you need to do your homework.
