2020 Traverse LT, when I turn the car on and the AC comes on, there is a vinegar like smell that comes from the vents for a few minutes. I changed the cabin air filter about 2 weeks ago and double checked it today and it’s still clean and dry. The air intake under the hood is clean of any debris, and I don’t see any standing water. The AC drains appear clear as I get good sized puddles under the car when the AC is on.

The vinegar smell started about 4/5 days ago, but before that there was a musty smell. I replaced the cabin air filter when I first noticed the musty smell. The old filter was dirty but dry.
Any ideas on what to do next, or other things to check?
Thanks all!!

Mold can form on the condenser, you can change the cabin filter but it won't help. Roll down all the windows with the car running and A/C on high. Spray Lysol disinfectant into the air intake under the windshield wipers would help.

Pull the cabin filter out before spraying so spray gets into the evaporator.
There are evap. cleaners out there also for commercial use also.
