Hi,
I have Chevy traverse 2012 LS model, Newly changed rear AC valve. I am experiencing during summer , whenever i turn the AC on in front and in the back, the front is blowing freezing cold and at the back its lukewarm but at time past by after around 30 minutes the back is blowing cold already during driving but in ideal it will be the same(lukewarm). is this normal is hot countries ?
PS: My car have windshield SUNshade on but the car itself is in direct sunlight.
Thank you for answering.

Scuze my egnertz but what is an AC valve? Also, have U put a set of gauges on the system, if so, what are the readings at what ambient temperature? Have you checked the blend doors for binding, sticking, not opening/closing etc.?

Btw, where are you from?
Might be talking about an expansion valve on the rear evaporator.
Hi ,
im from the middleast(KSA to be exact)
i didnt do it,im not handy enough and dont have the proper set of tools.
it just that the technician told me what he did. whenever he charged a refrigerant its getting cold. i have a doubt it is a leak issue. Im so just irritated because the master technician he letting his apprentice to do it . i have to pay the price for coming back and forth to them. hopefully it will be ok

Although it doesn't quite sound like a leak, here's some leakage info:

1st generation Traverses are susceptible to 3 AC leakage locations.

1. A hose in the engine compartment that rubs on something. This should be fairly easy to see.

2. The AC lines that run from the front of the car to the rear. These can be damaged by running over debris in the road. Note that the 2 AC and 2 coolant (i.e., heater) lines come as a single unit and must be replaced as a single unit.

3. The rear evaporator. The problem here is that copper particles from the fan's brushes get on the evaporator and cause pinhole leaks. This one definitely needs to have a dye added to the refrigerant in order to find the leak. (I just had this problem last fall on my 2017.)

Where is KSA?.......and, welcome to the forum,it will, more than likely, solve your problem.
Thank you for the great info, i will bring this up to the technician as well.
yesterday i went to him and said about the leak as you mentioned in #1. for the time being im observing it and hopefully it will last. i will be coming back this coming friday to him for the the rear blend door actuator ,he said it was stuck and needs a lot of time to fix it.

KSA is the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia(Riyadh),
The temperature nowadays is really hot and AC is a must.
Yeah the master technician said, there is a stock blend door in the rear that's why the cold air in front is not the same at the back. Thank God he is the one who checking now, not his apprentice . i am feeling the results now hopefully it will totally fix the issue, will be returning to him this friday for the blend door .
