In the fall of 2019 I started to research the possibility of my 2016 LTZ to tow 5200#. In the day we bolted on a hitch, added a trans cooler and in a couple hrs. we're set to go. I quickly learned no one would commit to a solution, either they didn't
have the knowledge of afraid of being sued. So I researched many sources, of which, this thread and greentraveres were the most helpful.
For those who want to convert a non V92 equipped Traveres to tow this is what I did. I tow a 3500# boat on a 1100# trailer and it works very well both on side roads as well as interstate travel. Because I tow a boat, which is aerodynamic the V6 motor does a great job. Towing an RV, which is like a big box, pushing air may be a different story.

1) Replace radiator with ACDelco # 8407953 purchased fr. CARiD Automotive $216.00. Installation of the radiator itself only takes 15min., but taking off and replacing the body work takes another 6.25hrs..
2) Curt 13424 Class 3 hitch. Amazon $125.00 Install time of hitch & wire harness 1hr.
3) Curt 56245 Vehicle side 4pin trailer wire harness. Amazon $32.00
4) Switch GM 22824080 Approx $35.00 Install time 1/2hr.

Installation of everything can be found on Google.
Thanks to Don @ greentraverse.

The Traverse is rated to tow 5,000 lbs but there is still the GCWR of 10,000 lbs so if the SUV is fully loaded the total trailer load my be limited to 4,000 lbs.

eTrailer.com sells a transmission cooler for the Traverse for $76.
