I have a 2019 Traverse, when I do a hard acceleration, passing or getting on a freeway, when I let up on the throttle, it feels like there is a delay before the engine decelerates, I had the dealer check it out and they said everything was "normal". When I take my foot off the throttle I want it to stop accelerating, like now! Anyone else experience something like this? What did you do? It is a very uncomfortable feeling. Fly by wire sucks! I came out of a Tahoe and really like the Traverse, but this is not cool. Thanks

I have never experienced a delay. If I punch mine to get up to speed it returns to normal pretty naturally.

Little 3.6 gets wound up to a higher rpm than a 5.3 or 6.0 so it may seem to hang in the downshifted gear a tad longer than in the V8's when letting off. 3.6 maxes out at over 1200 rpm more plus it may down shift to a gear lower than the V8's. I've got both, see my sig. for my vehicle list.
