So I have family in town.
Yesterday- we had 6 adults in the vehicle- a 1 yr old and a 3 month old.
In a combo car seat and an infant seat. And 2 strollers behind the 3rd seat... along with baby diaper bags.

We gassed up- got on the freeway- and I stayed at 65. then we headed up to Lake Arrowhead,CA. Up in the mountains.
I shifted to L and made my way up the mountain. Finally got to see some snow. Temp was about 34 up there.
We bought stuff. packed it in.
Headed down the mountain- once again- shifted to L- and used 3rd mostly (some 4th) to help with engine braking....
On the freeway- I stuck to the slow lane- doing about 60-65 mph.
This morning I commute to work- hit rush hour traffic- and im pleasantly surprissed... im currently at 19.4 MPG.....
I mean 6 adults and baby's.. and revving up the mtn-- and engine braking down.... 19.4 MPG DIC....
Once I refuel- ill see -- but my DIC and hand calcs are always very close...
I was thinking I was going to end up with 15 MPG or something like that... :blob:

Yeah- this tank has surprissed me...
With the 8 passengers- (2 children) and the driving im doing- I was expecting way less.....

But I really am impressed.
I was also impressed with the power the engine had--- I never felt like I was bogged down...
I could feel the weight on the vehicle- as we hit some bumps- you can feel the vehicle dip--- but as far as engine- I could accelerate and it would pull nicely.
With another day of work commute-- Im currently at 19.5

we made this trip again.
gassed up- went to eat- and then hit the highway.
stayed 55-60.
with 8 on board. 6 adults- 2 little ones.
we got off the freeway with 24.9 MPG.
Started to climb using low gears (manually shifting).
at the top 19.x mpg.
Once we left the mtn it was back to 21 mpg.
In the driveway- we were back up to 23 mpg.
