So Id read about this somewhere--- one of the Lambda forums... thought Id let everyone know what it is.....
Finally rained here in Los Angeles- and temps were down to about 45-50...
So we come to a long red light---- and eventually plenty of 'smoke' begins to hover around the front of the hood.... and my gf says-- is that you?
I knew what it was....
Turns out that its the rain/water being evaporated off of the hot radiator/condenser.
Simply the water turning to vapor- and being visible in the cold temp.
Once you get moving the vapor dissapears...
It seems to happen when you come to a long stop (short stops I did not notice it).
I think it was suggested that its because of the grille being close to the radiator.
Just an FYI.
Especially since were in the cold season and you may get alarmed when you see your Lambda smoking.
