Is it normal for an AWD Traverse to roll forward (SUV downhill) when moving ones foot from the break to gas?
I do own a couple of other AWD SUVs, and I have noticed they have a "hill-holder" system so the car will not roll forward or backward when releasing the break before hitting the gas.

This is a fairly common complaint in all Lambdas. I'm not sure it's "normal", exactly, but it's very common.

My wife is the main driver, she says she'll try and get used to this....but the shear volume of the vehicle makes all other
features pale in comparisson, especially for a family of 6!

My 2014 Traverse has the hill holder feature. Forward and reverse.( I'm just trying to meet the 10 post mark so I can post some pictures)

When I purchased mine, I was told it has hill hold in reverse and I can understand why, it comes in handy, specially when towing, as for front hill hold, not sure.

The original post was from 2008, in the Traverse Hill Start Assist has been standard since 2012.
