I bought a 2010 Chevy traverse back in December of 2021, and it came with a four button key fob. Lock, unlock, power lift gate, and panic button. The original window sticker from 2010 that came with the vehicle did not specify that a factory remote start was installed. How would one go about getting a Genuine GM remote start system that would’ve originally came with this traverse? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

This was a popular question back in 10-15.
But i dont remember well.
I believe you could buy the module and have it installed.
The only negative at the time was that onstar remote start via the phone app would not work.
It only worked on factory installed remote start.
But that wont matter within the next month as 2g is beung killed and remote start via the app will stop working.

You may be able to find New old stock on ebay or amazon.
Look through the site. Im sure someone posted a part number.

The plus to the GM version is that it's plug n play. Your aftermarket VIPER or Clifford type starter will likely need to be spliced into the wiring where the GM version will connect cleanly to existing harnesses.
