Rear sound?

I have had a 1LT for less than a week http://www.traverseforum.com/index.php?topic=352.0
but my kids who sit in the back complain that there is no/little sound ???

This Traverse is just equipped with the basic sound system and I havent looked for speakers beyond the driver and front passenger but I assumed there would be one in each passenger door in the back and two more in the third row.

Is there a setting on the radio which controls sound in front and back?

What am I missing?

speakers are behind the 2nd row seats....I noticed that the stereo system below the LTZ sucks. When you can crank the stereo full blast and speak to the person next to you w/o yelling means it sucks! However, my LTZ is very loud w/ bass.

I like that the LTZ has the rear stereo selection system and air/heating controls. Once my kids are older they can tap into that and not bug me about what I have on the radio/cd.

Thanks for the reply.

So I just checked the car. There are speakers in both sets of doors. And I verified that sounds is coming out of all 4. I didnt go behind the 2nd row of seats yet to see if there are speakers in the 3rd row.

Is there no way to channel sound between front row and back using the radio controls? (I see how to balance right and left but not front and back)
I do have speakers in my passenger rear doors...hard to see being inlayed and all. Here is a pick of the 3rd row speakers.

:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: Well, I don't have those on my Enclave, because I didn't get the upgraded stereo. DANG! I wish I had those, but I'm not in the third row that often, and when I am, we are traveling with friends, or relatives in the car, so the radio isn't on so we can talk....so....am I really missing out? When sitting back there, do they sound good, lots of bass, or only highs and mids?

It's called the "fade" button next to the balance button. If you have the subwoofer and put more sound to the back, you will loose bass.

So that is my problem. With the basic sound system there is no speakers in the 3rd row :(. That was so dumb of me not to check the details of the basic radio :banghead:. I would have selected the upgraded the sound system. You guys should have warned me ;).
does anyopne know if there are wires going to the third row spot any way? it would be nice to install some back there.
I doubt that GM was nice enough to run wires back there. The issue is in the headunit not dishing out enough watts. For this reason alone is why I bumped up to the LTZ. I love my jams and that unit just wasn't cutting it.

You must really, really like your jams, to pay a few thousand more for the LTZ just for its radio, rather than getting a 2LT and just buying a killer aftermarket head unit for, like $600 (or less).!! lol
Duayne, Come on now buddy... at least he BOUGHT something... come on buddy and PULL THE TRIGGER already
No third row speakers in my el-cheapo LS. Then again, I'll never have to sit in the third row, so why do I care? If you read enough of my posts, you'll notice I opted for nothing extra on mine at all because I can't afford anything extra. Speaking of that, as soon as I can get the sticker out of the car when my wife is home, I'll post on that thread about how much people paid for theirs.
Hello friends, I need your help. I have bought a Chevrolet Traverse 2013 LT series. The rear bands of the second and third rows do not work, while the settings on the front and rear bands are set together. Thank you for your help.
