Every time I fill up my 2018 traverse with gas it stalls or seems to be struggling for gas. My dealer looked at it and couldn't find anything. They suggest I try a more expensive grade of fuel so i did and the same thing happens. Any ideas on what this might be? I have purchased gas at 4 different stations to see if this would help, but it didn't.

I haven't heard of the issue regarding 2nd Gen Traverses, but on the 1st Gen's, if you added more fuel after the nozzle automatically shut off, you damaged the purge valve and had difficulty restarting the engine. Many threads here on this issue.

Have you been trying to top off the tank after the nozzle shuts off?

This is the first generation's classic symptom users report when they fill up with gas that it's hard to start the vehicle and only when the gas up. after they drive it it's fine until the next time they fill up

Yup purge valve, my wifes 2016 is on its 3rd now...luckily it is cheap and simple to replace.

2010, im still on factory valve....

Just replaced mine yesterday. 3rd one on a 2012. At least the part is super-easy to replace and only around $12 on Amazon.
