What engine?

Typically the power steering reservoir is under the main plastic cover in the engine. Take off the oil cap, pull off the plastic cover and you should see it sitting underneath.

You should be fine to check the fluid in the morning, vehicle does not need to be driven or running like transmission fluid levels.

I check the fluid level in the morning after everything has cooled since it's ATF.

  1. Open hood
  2. Remove oil cap
  3. Remove engine cover
  4. Remove power steering fluid reservoir cap
  5. Clean built in dipstick
  6. Reinsert cap
  7. Remove cap
  8. Check level
  9. Add or suck out fluid as necessary
