After I upgraded to a Rosen nav sys I only receive RSA (rear seat audio) for the dvd player. According to the tech, the installation of the rosen nav sys eliminates the RSA for Cd's, XM, ipod, radio, etc. not a show stopper but doesn't make sense

just spoke with crutchfeild... seems they stand by the fact it should work and if it will not you can get your $$ back.

06/03/2010 05:11:43PM Session Started with Agent (Clay.)
06/03/2010 05:11:46PM Agent (Clay.): "Hi, my name is Clay. How may I help you today?"
06/03/2010 05:12:09PM Jason: "I would like some information on the rosen nav radio for my 2009 chevy traverse"
06/03/2010 05:12:33PM Agent (Clay.): "I'll be glad to help you."
06/03/2010 05:12:42PM Agent (Clay.): "Pulling up your vehicle now."
06/03/2010 05:12:58PM Jason: "i saw the video and i have a couple specific questions..."
06/03/2010 05:13:07PM Agent (Clay.): "Do you have the upgraded Bose sound system?"
06/03/2010 05:13:27PM Jason: "i have bose - but i am not sure if it is the centerlline version"
06/03/2010 05:14:11PM Agent (Clay.): "Okay, how can I help you on the Rosen navigation receiver?"
06/03/2010 05:15:39PM Jason: "my main concern is what will it be compatible with... i have the following oem options. rear dvd and audi center, rear backup camera"
06/03/2010 05:15:45PM Jason: "also bluetooth"
06/03/2010 05:16:48PM Jason: "the backup camera is shown on the rear view mirror, but i assume it is routed thru the radio because the warning beeps are sounded thru the stereo"
06/03/2010 05:17:51PM Jason: "our rear dvd has the option to use wireless headphones, while the front passengers listen to another music choice."
06/03/2010 05:18:11PM Agent (Clay.): "Yes, the Rosen unit is compatible with all your factory components."
06/03/2010 05:18:35PM Jason: "ok, are there specific adapters required for anything?"
06/03/2010 05:19:03PM Agent (Clay.): "No, that is the great thing with the Rosen receiver it comes with everything you need to connect up to the factory wiring."
06/03/2010 05:19:32PM Jason: "lastly, what about the rear dvd. how does the rosen play dvd's in the rear without playing them on it's own screen?"
06/03/2010 05:20:44PM Jason: "is it possible to play 2 movies - one on the back screen from the dvd and one on the front screen from a media stick?"
06/03/2010 05:21:23PM Agent (Clay.): "Let me check on that for you. Just one moment."
06/03/2010 05:23:20PM Agent (Clay.): "You can watch and listen to the same source which is being played back on the unit's integrated LCD monitor on a connected external monitor and wireless headphone kit, or watch and listen to a different source."
06/03/2010 05:24:53PM Jason: "ok. what about the antenna location - chevy installs the oem nav antenna behind the nav radio in the dash."
06/03/2010 05:25:46PM Agent (Clay.): "When you use the USB you can play back your MP3 audio files or JPEG still-image files stored on your USB thumbdrive."
06/03/2010 05:26:44PM Jason: "this unit sounds great. what is the return policy if i find it doesn't meet my needs?"
06/03/2010 05:28:08PM Agent (Clay.): "You have a 30-day money-back guarantee."
06/03/2010 05:28:24PM Jason: "ok, thanks"
06/03/2010 05:28:28PM Agent (Clay.): "You're welcome. When you decide to place your order online, please include my name, Clay, as your advisor."

06/03/2010 05:28:49PM Agent (Clay.): "Thank you."
06/03/2010 05:29:21PM Jason: "one more thing"
06/03/2010 05:29:47PM Jason: "i just saw this online and was wondering if you could help"
06/03/2010 05:30:05PM Agent (Clay.): "Okay."
06/03/2010 05:30:13PM Jason: "After I upgraded to a Rosen nav sys I only receive RSA (rear seat audio) for the dvd player. According to the tech, the installation of the rosen nav sys eliminates the RSA for Cd's, XM, ipod, radio, etc."
06/03/2010 05:30:41PM Jason: "is this true? currently my rear seat audio will allow the back seat to get anything they want"
06/03/2010 05:32:33PM Agent (Clay.): "Checking on that for you. Just a minute."
06/03/2010 05:32:42PM Jason: "thanks"
06/03/2010 05:36:39PM Agent (Clay.): "Thank you for holding."
06/03/2010 05:36:47PM Jason: "no problem"
06/03/2010 05:37:11PM Agent (Clay.): "I spoke with Tech Support and they said you should not lose the ability to access the other sources."
06/03/2010 05:38:26PM Jason: "ok, so just to be clear if i install the rosen and it dosen't allow the rear access to the other sources i can return it for a full money back as long as it is within 30 days?"
06/03/2010 05:38:41PM Agent (Clay.): "That is correct."
06/03/2010 05:39:05PM Jason: "ok, thanks... i gotta run but thanks for answering my questions"

rear seat audio is only for dvd playback, at least it has been that way on every one that I have sold and installed.

Many of the other aftermarket units that even offer dual zone are similar to this as well. Kenwood limits its sources that can be sourced as a rear zone.
