LED Lighting/Bulbs

It's nice that GM put in LED bulbs for the interior lighting and for the tail lights, BUT they didn't finish the package IMO.

The puddle lights (at the bottom of the door) are still regular bulbs.
Along with the license plate lights & the reverse bulbs, which look kinda strange & not as classy IMO.

Do higher trims get LED bulbs there, possibly?

Or has anyone else upgraded, or thought about upgrading, those to LED's to match?

Anyone have any issues when replacing the puddle and license plate lights with led?

Nope!

Did it on both my (prior) 2018 and on my 2020, not one issue.

Also, if you care, you could replace the center console light as well (it's a single 194 wedge bulb too)

Ok! Good to know that it didn't mess with the rear camera or anything else, are the lights all 194?

The ones you listed, yes.
Could you possibly link me the puddle light bulbs which you used?
I upgraded my headlamps to new LED bulbs using:

It was noticeably brighter, especially in the periphery.
Coverage all throughout is much better.
In general, I found the stock bulbs to be surprisingly weak for an HID system.
After the upgrade I am satisfied with the road lighting.

At the same time I also upgraded the turn signal bulbs to these:

All in all I am very happy with the upgrades.

Side note: I've previously upgraded the fog lamps to LED type as well.
That was the most drastic change in brightness. But, I would say they are too bright now. I don't dare use them when there is oncoming traffic.
Link to those bulbs:

So far everything works just fine.

Planning to upgrade my reverse lights and marker lamps next with:
And

Respectively.

Used the lasfits in 2020 traverse. Wife reports back up camera staying on. No issues on my silverado. Any ideas?

Mine did it sporadically too (unfortunately, since the lights are brighter & nicer than stock).....like 1 out of 50 times/starts. If you get to a light & restart the car, it should go back to normal though/turn off.
It's annoying, but it's either live with it or go back to the stock bulbs.

Resistors needed to simulate the load of a regular bulb so camera system ''see's'' that lights are off.
I'm leaving mine alone even though I've got LED's and camera's , with zero issues, in the rest of my fleet, too much work to access and have issues. The T's camera is very good and bright at night.

No need for external resistors as these have them built into the housing. Make sure you insert the LEDs all the way in the socket. You can test by depressing the "unlock" function on key fob before you reassemble.

I will post the other LASFIT LEDs part numbers for the front blinkers and fog lights, each NOT requiring any external resistors. It's well over 2 months and no issues.
They do not work in the 2020 Traverse. I bought them ... tried them ... no luck. Camera and Display issues. LASFIT refunded my money and told me they are aware of issues with the product in newer Traverse models. Hmmm ... oh well. Back to the OEM bulbs.

I just put JDM aster Canbus bulbs in my '23 Silverado with the 15'' screen. No 360 camera issues, same bulb is in my '16 Equinox with no camera issues. Have not done my Traverse yet but I expect no problems in my '20.

If you want brighter, try 168 lamps instead of 194, but they'll last only about 2/3rds the life of a 194. If you want longer life, try 161 lamps, but they are about 2/3rds the brightness of a 194. If the LEDs do not cause any problems, go for it, but understand that many of them also have a relatively short life in actual use. The current-limiting drivers do not especially like the variations in temperature, are not as forgiving with humidity present, and REALLY do not like the variations in voltage in an automotive platform. Remember that over 15V is not at all uncommon when the vehicle is started with the air temperatures below zero and the charging system is going almost full-out to warm up that starting battery.

I've replaced a LOT of LEDs in markers, license lamps, and interiors after only a couple winters of use because segments were failing, flickering, and dimming. In short (pun intended). the boys in Shangdong haven't quite figured out the reliability issues just yet.

He's referring to the 921 in reverse lights. Mine have held up in the '16 Equinox all this time. Of course they are not on as much as marker lights either. I've stopped converting some 194 bulbs to LED also as they don't hold up and either go out or start flickering in side marker or plate positions.
Thanks for the clarification. I had small wedge bulbs on the brain.
Any luck on your 2020 Chevy Traverse, I got a premier same year and I want a led reverse lights. I got the alla lighting ones and bad luck with those.

Been too busy to try them in my Traverse as not a quick plug and play like my '23 Silverado was but I don't expect any issues in the Traverse since the new big screen multi camera system in the Silverado is happy with them.
