Hello,


My local mechanic just changed 6 injectors with aftermarket ones on my 2019 Traverse. A day after, the car smells like gas at the area around the front left wheel. It also smells through the AC, unless I turn on recirculating air.. The mechanic said he spilt gas during the replacement so the smell could be coming from left over gas that's on the engine.

Could the smell linger this long, or could I have a leak? if so, where could the leak be coming from? The mechanic will take a look tomorrow morning. I hope he knows how to spot these things.

But besides this, the car's driving better than it has in a long time.

Any help would be appreciated.

I would not drive if you smell gas, could catch fire.

 

Hi if you don't mind how much did you pay for the injector service? Bout to do it by end of this week for my 2013 Traverse Lt awd.
