Maybe someone can help me with this. We were at the drive in movies and set the cargo area up to sit back there to watch with the liftgate up. Could not find a way to have the interior lights turn off. I have read a post that suggests there is a switch that techs use to turn off the lights while working inside? In my my cherokee I had to simply push the rear dome light and it acted like a switch anytime you hauled anything with the hatchback open. Is the only solution really to let it sit on for 20 minutes without opening any doors?

Below info is from manual:page 3-14, think this might work.

Dome Lamp Override

The dome lamp override button is
located next to the exterior lamps
control.
The dome lamp override sets the
dome lamps to remain off or come on
automatically when a door is opened.
(Dome Lamp Override): Press
the button in and the dome lamps
remain off when a door is opened.
Press the button again to return it
to the extended position so that
the dome lamps come on when
a door is opened.
