I wired my radar detector into the overhead console. Power comes on at start-up, goes off 10 minutes after shutdown.

I had something similar for my Corvette. I don't know if what the same manufacturer or not but it worked great. The pins from the harness were just a force fit into the rear connector on the rear view mirror. Worked great.

Yep, an Invisicord at the mirror will switch with the key.

Someone told me there is an adapter that you put under a switched fuse (radio, p windows, etc) that gives you a hot spade to hook on to.
