I just bought the 2011 Traverse 1LT 2 weeks ago. I am trying to install a hitch receiver for my bike rack. However, seems to me, there is no hitch receiver for 2011 yet. Does anyone know whether the 2010 receiver will fit the 2011? Thanks.

There were virtually no changes between MY 2010 and MY 2011, so yes, the 2010 hitch will fit.

theres also smaller receiver.. I think theyre 1 1/4 inch.
youll see these on smaller suvs or cars.
On a side note...in 2003 when I bought my 03 Trailblazer... it had the inline 6 engine and a 2 inch receiver.
I went to cross shop the V6-Explorer and the ones I saw--- all had the 1 1/4 inch receiver....
I was a little surprissed by this- why would the V6 Explorer have such a rinky dink receiver...
Well- I didnt buy the Explorer

The smaller size hitch ( 1 1/4" ) denotes a lower towing capacity.

My 08 Equinox hitch from GM was 1 1/4 inches after market you could get a 2 inch , still only 3500 lb capacity on the Equinox

OK .... I'm not speaking aftermarket here.

Point here is this, you will not tow a 5200 lb load/trailer with a 1 1/4 hitch.
