I recently bought a 2010 Chevy traverse and found a ground cable under the air intake box that is not connected.the cable in question is located just above the wiring harness ground and runs down and forward toward the front of the engine compartment....any clue of where this wire should be connected?

ok, based on the location of the cable under my air box, and the white decal/tag on the cable, and the connector end on the cable.. this is what I found,

I used a little mirror to look at the cables end- and the white tag attached to it

You can see the thermostat hose, the heat shield, etc. You can also see the ground cables black heat shrink.
Should let you easily find where it connects.

You didn't mention any performance issues with this "loose" ground.

Find that really strange.

Wonder why it's even there?

U recon GM just had some "loose" grounds(pun intended) laying round and just pitched them in that model Traverse?

They've done some really strange things in the past..........OR, do U think Ford crept in the middle of the night and?????.
