On the 2010 traverse, I had to replace the compressor about once a year, because they were wearing out, and no longer compressing.
On the 2012 traverse, the compressor seized/exploded, even destroying the clutch, and pulley about a week after we started using it. I tried flushing all of the components with water, and sucking it all out with vacuum. The new compressor lasted about 5 minutes, before seizing. I tried flushing the system with 7 cans of "ac flush" solvent, and installing an in-line filter (the cheap kind). It lasted about 2 days, before it seized.
Why can I never seem to get the A/C on this car to work for very long? Any ideas on solutions for actually getting it to work?
