That is cool but I like my GPS up high. I got a Garmin friction mount (gel-like sticky/flexi base) for the dash on sale at $15. Works better than I thought it would (no motion so far) sitting on the dash-top storage tray.

I have a vent mount for my gps, it doesn't block any controls and it doesn't block my driving line of sight.

That's way too low. I like mine on the windshield where I can keep my eyes on the road better.

I would second to that. I keep mine on the windshield too, a little bit left below the rear view mirror. I don't want to keep my eyes off the road.
