I have a 2012 Traverse LTZ with 125,000 miles on it. I was just told by the dealership and the auto shop that I have taken my cars to for many years, that 3 fuel injectors are staying open and need to be replaced. An estimate of $2k. Not good news! It has had an issue for a few months but they couldn't determine what was going on. It would idle high, check engine light would come on, there would be a strong smell of gasoline and smoke would come out of the tail pipe. I had one dealership replace the plug and coil on the first cylinder thinking that would fix the problem. That was a temporary fix. Several days later the same things started happening. Has anyone else had these problems.

FYI I had to replace my transmission at 111,000 miles. :(

Three injectors eh? Are they all on the same side? It is rare that more than one fails at the same time so I would suspect that it is something common if they are all on the same bank.
Usually the cat will also fail due to the raw fuel being introduced, so that is probably another concern.
Which Injectors are bad?
