I went to the local Chevrolet Dealer to have my Oil Changed. I supplied the Oil (Royal Purple) and Filter. The reason I did this was because I had a **** of a time trying to get the Factory Oil Filter off. I never did, so I elected to go back to the dealer and ask the mechanic how they did it. Well, come to find out, there is a CAM ACTION oil filter tool that mounts to a 3/8" drive that will slip right over the filter and provide all types of leverage to remove the filter. I checked around and found it at Autozone. You'll find it over by the Oil Filters. The Part Number is: #297190 25128, OEM Import Car Oil Filter Wrench. It costs $5.99. Amazon.com also has it. It has made my life a whole lot easier trying to get the Traverse's Oil Filter off. I hope this information helps those who change their own oil.
