So I’ve already had the X-Pipe bracket rub through and create a leak last year. Stealership wanted to change everything basically, because it’s almost all one piece. Although to me it looked like poor design, and **** welds that didn’t penetrate.

Took it to an exhaust shop and they just just the section out and added flex pipe last year. Now I have what sounds like an exhaust leak when you accelerate quickly. Does not happen while in park, or neutral, no matter how many times or hard you rev the RPM’s. Went to a shop and they couldn’t find anything wrong, so they didn’t charge me. Even had a guy there that went for a test drive with me, and he could hear it but couldn’t locate anything leaking.

Anyone have an idea, or been through something similar?

Most likely it would need to be ''power braked'' on a lift to get motor to flex on its mounts to detect the leak.

What is meant by “power braked” on a lift? Im a diesel tech. Big trucks exhaust leaks or it doesn’t. There isn’t any in between.

Auto trans in gear, foot on brake and throttled up to get motor to flex on its mounts to twist exhaust some.
Probably has a leaking manifold donut.
