I like to get a backup sensor installed in my Traverse. I am looking at purchasing the electromagnetic backup sensor which does not require any drilling. The backup light is on the trunk lid which make it quite difficult. Does anyone have installed the aftermarket backup sensor and care to share how this is done from unhooking the bumper to indentifying the wiring? Any assiatnce is greatly appreciated. I love my new Traverse but backing up is quite difficult without the sensor. Cheers!

I thought all Traverses came with the backup sensors????
I was under the impression that the upper trims had the camera either display on the NAV unit-- or the rear view mirror....along with the in bumper sensors... for those without the camera--- the system had the 3 little lights that come on etc and the audible alert........
Did you get a base model?

Also for 2010-- I believe the little lights are discontinued- and only the audio remains.

LS models do not have sensors. 1LT have sensors with optional cameras, 2LT and LTZ have both as standard equipment.
