so far Ive gassed up about 8 times.
Ive kept track of my numbers. I just did a trip from LA to San Francisco and back. About 900 miles.
my 2010 now has about 3000 miles.
But- It appears that the DIC fuel used and MPG is fairly accurate- when compared to what I physically pump in and then hand calculate the MPG.
What I now do- is when the pump stops on its own- thats where I stop filling.
So it seems the error in how much is pumped- is in the accuracy of the auto shut off mechanism.
There is 1 entry below - marked with the ?????- here there was a big diff in what was used vs what was pumped in..... 2 GAL diff... im tempted to say that the pump was rigged- obviously to their advantage- since all others are within .5 gal of each other.
the big increase in mileage is due to the all highway trip- to and from LA-SF (4 adults and some luggage- speeds at 67-72)- and Grapevine going north.
The 18 MPG is my everyday commute to and from work in rush hour traffic...
So- for now- Id say the DIC is pretty accurate- and like mentioned- the error being the fuel cutoff at the pump used.
