If they can't figure it out in 3 attempts you should be able to return it under the lemon law. That's if your state has such a thing.

It happened to my son's 2023, his vehicle had P0300 and P050D less than twelve months on the road. The dealership performed upper cylinder cleaning to fix that. It was under the new car warranty. Hope this helps.

My dealership first checked the spark plugs, then the injectors and they were within spec. The next logical step was to clean the accumulated carbon. Dealerships should be well trained and aware of DI engines are prone to carbon buildups. I am surprised that you have gone through three dealerships and none of them able to fix that problem. Pity! I was flabbergasted that a brand new 23 less than one year old suffers the P0300 and P050D, I hope it does not happen again. My 15 Verse has no such problems except the famous EVAP purge valve.

 

I took my car to 3 delearships and wasn’t able to find a fix for code per GM.

That means the factory technical department is working on it. Possibly a software issue.

The OP said they have a 2024, but we don't know if it's a "2024 Limited" (i.e., a 2023 that they sold as a 2024) which has the V6, or a "real 2024" that has the I4 Turbo.

 

She says that it's a Z71, so that would be Gen. 3.

 

Can you feel or hear anything odd with the vehicle? Does the check engine light clear, but come right back on?

A situation like this would render the vehicle useless in NY as you can't pass the mandatory yearly state inspection process with the check engine light on.

nothing feels different but yes, as soon as the cold clears and comes right back on hence why I brought it to the shop three times. I’m in the middle of trying to start a lemon law see what happens.
