not sure if they are the same size, but you can get overlays on Ebay; search bowtie or chevy emblem overlays or stickers

Let us know if you have any luck with these - can't seem to find anything myself, but I'd love to be able to cover up that gold bowtie on my traverse as well as on my 'nox.

…out of tinted tail-light film.

My tint guy has this film that he uses, instead of Nightshade spray, to tint tail-lights. I gave it a try on the yellow Chevy Bowtie emblems and I do believe I got the desired results. He sold me a 24 inch wide, 5 inch strip, for $5 – enough for 6-8 bowties, which was good since I mucked up my first attempt. It is thicker then window film tint, much like that 3M headlight film. The hard part was me trying to cut a straight line with my blade – not as easy as I thought it would be. The reflective yellow does show through the tint just a bit - it is no longer a neon sign.

That looks really sharp. I may have to consider that for our Cyber gray.

When you get a chance, can you snap a picture of the entire front end with the overlay?

Thanks,
Mark

Looks nice, but do you always drive around with no license plates on the truck? lol

We had a blue overlay on our blue trailblazer, it helped us to find our ride in crowded parking lots.

Nice job.

Love it - I did a search for some other colors as I wanted a nice green to complement the white Traverse, and a black to match my black Equinox. I bought a couple of vinyl sheets from metrorestyling.com (http://www.metrorestyling.com/category-s/37.htm) and used a box cutter to shape them. I think I need to redo the Traverse - first try and all - but there's plenty left over to do just that. I think they turned out pretty good, no?

Look'n Good.

and I messed up my first one too. Good thing we both got extra to play with.

Now you just need to make a template and start selling them here for 10 bucks a pop.

Send me the paypal info! but really if someone did take the time to make extra you could sell them easy.

Just put the bowtie overlay on the front and back , both are reflective red , looks great and does standout.
The first try on the front I miss aligned it on the emblem , thanks to Reflective Concepts suppled two overlays for both the front and back.
The rear overlay went on without a hitch, looks great. :thumb:

I just traced mine and then used my daughters Cricut with some shiny black vinyl. The front and rear are different sizes and with have to be shaped slightly different to fit - the front one has a more of a curve
