So I was thinking.
Whether to get 7 or 8 pass seating.
Considering future (very soon) scenario.
Driver. wife(pass)
Soon to be baby in rear- with Grandma and grandpa...
AND 2 full size German Shephards (in the cargo area).

this practically means I need the 2nd seat bench....

I have not seen pics of what this looks like stowed away.
The rearmost seats will usually be down I suspect- to carry the Shepherds...
But I dont think the captains chairs will be good for me...

I have not seen images of the bench seat being stowed.. can it be stowed away?

It doesn't "stow away" it folds flat, so that where the 3rd row is down, matches as a flat loading floor when all seats are folded.

EDIT: I got lucky! I was poking around on ebaymotors, and found this photo of an Enclave with middle bench seat, showing all seats folded down. See attachment

looks like it sleeps 3 or 4. lol
how are the headrests handled when you fold the 2nd/3rd row seats down?
i remember having a Saab hatchback (10 years ago), where I'd have to take the headrests off each time I folded the 2d row down -- what a pain.

When you fold the 2nd row down, you just need to be sure that the front seats are far enough forward so the headrests clear on the way down. On the 3rd row, the headrests fold forward automatically when up pull the strap to fold them down.
