9T65 Tranny toast at 100K miles

2019 Premiere trim AWD 3.6L brought brand new.

First chevy I ever bought with hopes of driving into the 260K range...kept up on fluid changes with the dealer. The tranny started shuddering on shifts at 100,6XX miles. Took it to the dealer and they said the tranny has excessive slippage and recommended replacement...cost $8900. Took it to a transmission shop, same diagnosis but waiting on a cost. Researched the 9T65 and found out that GM did a pilot replacement program in 2020 but we were not included in the program because we bought in 2018.

I'm beyond pissed.

...kept up on fluid changes with the dealer.
What exactly does that mean?
What exactly does that mean?
I took it to the dealer to change the oil and transmission fluids. I didn't do them myself.
Still dont know what that means.
How many miles?
What fluid?
Drain or flush?
Any additives?
That's a valid question, but the presumption might be that a dealership would not only have the most recent service guides, but also any pertinent TSBs regarding procedural changes, fluid substitutions, and other variations from the original (2019 model year) instructions.

A possibly more relevant question is when was the vehicle built (month & year) and/or what is the RPO code for the transmission installed (M3H, M3U, M3V, M3W, ???). I believe the 9T65 may have been undergoing some revisions in the calendar year 2018.
