My seat heaters don't work on auto start along with the steering wheel heater and the air conditioner comes on when you push the button for outside air randomly.. I have been a loyal GM customer for 50 years and have never been treated in such a manor from more than one dealership.. GM needs to get there act together

I have a '23 Traverse on order. I was advised when building the order that the heated seats will not work as delivered. The reason I was given by the GM Chat robot on their site is that the modules required to link through the CAN bus to the BCM are not available due to the shortage of processors. I was also advised that the seats will have the heating elements, wiring, and connectors so that when modules become available I can return to the dealership and the service department can install them and flash the BCM with any necessary software updates to make them functional.

I was told that supply shortages are also the reason the vehicle will be delivered without the compressed fiberglass hood insulator, and it will be installed in the same manner when available. The only difference is that I doubt any reprogramming will be necessary with the hood insulation blanket.

You might want to quiz your dealer sales and service people about that.

If dealer is not helpful reach out to Chevy Customer Service that's listed in your Owners Manual to get the ball rolling.
Corporate needs to know what their franchised dealers are doing or not doing. They need your input, not every dealer is great due to their employees IE service managers, techs, etc. and your feedback lets corporate know what's going on and it gets sent down to the owners of the dealership so they can get their people on the ball.
GM wants happy customers and capable dealers.

Manual says that seat heater will come on with remote start if temperature and humidity difference between outside and inside is big enough....
Something like that.
I tried it.... but temps are 60 something.

Ill try again tomm.

My wife just loves the heated steering wheel and I admit it's a nice upgrade.

I warned her to be careful backing up as I almost hit a parked car when I got it home. I got lazy with our Passat having the parking assist sensors.

I think a lot of people are going to miss that on these vehicles.

I have mine set to auto heat/cool seats when remote started. They work when the temp is in the secret/magic zone for the sensors. The seat heat/cool is not 100% of the time since sometimes the temp is not cold or hot enough. I did notice some oddities, like the defrost activates, but not seat heat or steering wheel heat.

I'm mostly OK with it since it does not take too long to get it warmed up here in Atlanta.

Third world problems here, lol

You're not the first one to complain about this, on a 2022 or 2023, but at least you have them is the bright side & they work (just not on remote start).
Some people, mostly 2022's, are still waiting on their retrofit to even have those items!

Took delivery of a 2023 Traverse Premier mid-February. It was built 30 December 2023. It has functional seat heaters and steering wheel heaters--both of which are programmable to come on when the outside temp is below 40-45 degrees; just traveled to an area where temps were below that, and everything functioned as advertised; the heaters started when I started the vehicle. Granted, it wasn't started remotely, but I seldom do that. It also came with the underhood sound deadener insulation.

Welcome to 2021-2023 ****. I have a 2022 that has been a **** show since day one. My issues are iPhone won’t hook up to car play or Bluetooth took at least 2 X’s a week. Dealers answer, turn off auto updates and disconnect blue tooth before you enter the car and reconnect once you are ready to drive. What kind of answer is that? If the radio has issue with an iPhone then don’t offer Apple car play. That being said they have replaced certain radios. Depending on the VIN. Well I’m not that lucky. The best service response I have got was about a noise coming from my steering wheel. While a low speed I have a rubbing noise inside the car that comes thru the steering wheel. They lubed the knuckle and said it was all set. That just made us much louder. You would have thought they would have tested it out. So they took the lube out and gave me this technical answer. There is nothing wrong, the noise is normal because my bosses 2021 does it. Huh, you don’t say. I’ve given up on the service department. Totally disappointed in this purchase!

iPhone 13 had trouble syncing with a lot of vehicles. Alsmost all Toyotas couldn't connect reliably. I suspect that is as much an issue with Apple as anything, since previous version and the 14 connect just fine.
