I see that our Traverse has 255/65R18 111T tires on.

That 111 is very restrictive in winter tire choices. There seem to have a lot more choices with the 109 load index

So my questions are:

1. Can we run 109 when 111 is the OEM number?
2. What are you running as winter tires?

I'm not a tire "expert," but I would "assume" as long as the load value for the tire is greater than ~ one half of the axle rating, you'd be good to go.

For example, my 2017's rear axle rating is the highest, at 3527 lbs, so I'd say any tire load rating over about 1800 lbs would be OK. (I'm pretty sure most of us don't load to the axle rating, unless you're towing over your ratings, or hauling bricks.)

Here's a link to the load chart:

Maybe someone smarter on tires will chime in.

My '20 with 20'' rims with the tow package and the OEM tires are 107H. I would not worry about it.

Any tire that size will fall within a acceptable load range for the Traverse.

Thanks!
They even came with black center caps too....I did a test fit and they looked good
Did you snap a pic? Or are you making us wait until Thanksgiving when you swap your winters on?

I picked up some new 255/70/17 Blizzak DM-V2's for the wife's Traverse FWD for next winter for cheap, and had them mounted on a set of new take off 17" Colorado wheels that I picked up for only $200.

I'm on my second set of this exact winter tire/size on my '16 Acadia with no issues. Both these and my non-winter tires (255/55-19) are 107 load index.
