Every fall & spring I like to change the wheels myself and did not want to take the vehicle in for this service. When I do change the wheels I get the DIC message that TMPS is in need of "calibration".
To address this I ordered an EL-50448 by Orange Electronic for about $20. All you need to do is put the vehicle in diagnostic mode and then tire learning mode and apply the tool to the tire by the valve stem in clockwise sequence starting with the driver's front wheel. Car beeps to let you know the status. Simple and easy to do. I believe the dealership charges $25 every time to perform the "calibration".

Yes very handy tool, I have one which looks exactly the same but different brand name. First time i used it it didn't work so well. I was putting the transmitter next to the rim by the wheel stem , it needs to be on the rubber portion by the stem, works perfect now.
