The only differences between and 18 and a 19 is some paint; on upper lines the heated steering wheel can turn on with a remote start; and mid to late 18s and all 19s lack an automatic sunshade retractor on the front sunroof.

If GM OEM crossrails #84231368 are used on both years ......different height(s) are needed to clear front sunroof and provide a level surface on top of the curved roof. No sunroof?.....aftermarkets can be used and instruction should be provided..

OEMs only mount one way in designated locations, two torx screws into predrilled holes on the rail for each of the 4 mounts........there is a front and back crossrail, (rear crossrail is taller than the front) and front facing arrows marking on each one....holes are predrilled in specific locations to provide sunroof clearance and minimal wind noise......install into predrilled locations on the rails

Tomcat or NY Mike, Finally found this thread! I just bought the cross rails today for my 2019 Traverse and I can't figure our how to remove the plastic caps that cover the pre-drilled holes on the side rails. I want to remove them without damaging them in case I need put them back later if I take the cross bars off. Any advise would be very much appreciated.

Any chance you were able to remove these without damaging them? I actually don’t care about damaging them, but I can’t get them out.

I just bought same. Removed by bending back plastic each side and they screw out like a normal screw.

Anybody want to get rid of their silver plastic caps? My wife didn't agree with my decision to throw hers away. I'll pay for shipping if they aren't damaged. If not I'm sure the GM dealer can get them for me.
