Insert the key, turn it, it tries to start the engine but doesn't. It just pulses. And I let go of the key and it continues to do this like it is stuck in the ignition position and it will do this forever unless I take the key out. See the video. I was told it could be a brake switch problem or the starter. What do you think? Have you had this before?

That is a weird start. Weird in that the starter does not sound like it has the ooommph,
Low voltage? Or ?
Hows the voltage on batt?

I could check that, but the battery was purchased only a few months ago. It’s weird, huh?

Was the engine actually turning when you flip the key? It sounded like the starter complaining that it didn't get enough power to turn over.

No, the engine wasn’t turning at all.

I would fully charged the battery, if it behaves the same I would suspect a bad starter.

Thanks for all your help. Turns out that the battery was dead dead and not rechargeable. I've just never seen a car do that before.
