Does anyone know anything about the Bluetooth in an 09 Traverse? My sister in law has an 09 LT1. I guess LT2s had Bluetooth. Since Illinois just banned handheld phone use, she'd like to have integrated Bluetooth. Do you know which box part numbers would work, and if it would be plug and play as far as Bluetooth functionality would be concerned? Don't know if she has active OnStar or if she wants to keep it. Though, she may want to due audio streaming also. I don't know much about the Bluetooth options out there. Is there a good aftermarket option that has OEM style integration that is more capable?

if im not mistaken BT was only available on the 2LT.

for 2010 you could get BT on the LT1--- IF you ordered the optional Communications package (BT, garage door, remote start).

Someone on here- installed a device called the PARROT. that allows for BT use.

Do a search for it... and youll see.

Yup! I have an LT1, and even though it said Bluetooth on the sticker, and all of the documentation for ONSTAR, it was not installed, only available on the LT2 and LTZ models. At the time, and still now, I was very dissapointed in Chevrolet, but it is what it is,,,,,

I installed a Parrot MKI 9100 in my last Traverse you can get a HFVT HF-GM-TH3-AMK for non BOSE wiring harness that makes it almost plug and play.

You have to tap into a 12V switched source. The only on I found was in the frotn Fuse box.

I am researching this myself. I have found that if you replace the VCIM with a Bluetooth capable one it "should" work. However it is my understanding you will loose your onstar capability unless the dealership can reprogram it.

I myself do not need the OnStar in my wife's 09 LT1 traverse. The part number I found was 22794713(new part#22865680), and it states it's $206.04 shipped to my address. via gmpartsdirect.com that is.

Hopefully someone can correct me on this if the info is incorrect.

The Parrot is just an add on the Ontstar will keep working.

The only thing with it is it will mute the radio if your making a call thus muting onstar.

But you would never make a phone call use onstar at the same time ha ha.
