Low Rumble Sound

I have a 2019 Traverse LT Cloth. When driving over slightly rough asphalt, nothing crazy, there is a low pitch bass sound that is really annoying. The rougher the road the more I hear it. Does anyone else hear this?

I believe that I've narrowed it down to the roof, which seems to make the same noise if I bump on the headliner with my palm near the back of the vehicle. Is anyone willing to test if bumping the headliner near the rear, just forward of where it drops down, causes a low bass type tone? I'm worried there's some sound heading materials missing. Thank you.

So does no one else hear lower, bass like rumbles when going over cracks or slightly rougher roads? I tried pulling the amp fuse last night to see if it is caused by the noise canceling system but that didn't change this sound, though it sure did make a difference in other sounds heard. The sound I am concerned about is the type that resonates, and is not a dull thud. Any information from others would be really good.

I would blame the tires.

Being a vehicle with under 1000 miles on stock tires, I would think someone else here has heard this noise of it were simply the tires.

Do you hear this noise on newer asphalt pavement also? A while ago I was given a chevy Cobalt as a loaner while my vehicle was at the garage and this Cobalt even if it was almost new had a terrible rolling sound on old pavement compared to my own vehicle on the same roads. It might be something else but in my mind the tires for me is the first thing that can cause this noise. Some peoples can accept this noise and for other it is a real pain in the neck to tell you. By the way this Cobalt had the Hankook chinese brand tires. I suppose your Traverse came with Bridgstone tires!

If the road is smooth and nice, there is no sound. Any rough spot or bump and we hear it. Interestingly, the same or nearly same sound happens when we close the door in the car. I do have the OEM Bridgestone Dueler tires.

At this point I would bring the car to the dealer to see if something is not loose under like the exhaust system or else. Good luck. Keep us updated.

I just wanted to know if anyone else with a second Gen Traverse also hears this type of noise. I'm surprised that no one on this forum with this same Traverse is even willing to respond.

Your post has been viewed 162 times. From the lack of responses it's obvious to me that none of the 162 readers have this issue.

I don't mean to sound insensitive, but would you have prefered seeing 162 responses that say "Nope", "None here", "No issues", etc...?

I anyone had any ideas, they would have said something, just like Capucine did.

BTW I've had mine since Feb 2018 and no "low low rumble" present.
