No sunglass holder?

Why is there no overhead compartment for sunglasses in the 2018 Traverse?

Because they chose not to include one. No idea why, unless it was a space issue. My Tahoe had one, even had that nifty mirror to spy on the kids with.

It is one of the things I miss from driving my RX300. I just toss my sunglasses in the "bat cave" which is the little storage area behind the infotainment screen.

My 5 year old son is REALLY into Batman... he named it. haha

I thought I could plug my phone into the USB port with a short cable and keep it in there, but it doesn't fit. Even on an angle, it's a bit tight.

I did find that little tray in front of the shifter fits my phone perfectly though when I plug it into the USB port there with a short cable. It holds it upright and everything. Very nice.

Never tried it in the Traverse, but same "batcave" problem in my Impala was solved by a short cable with right angle connectors on both USB/miniUSB ends. Had an idea of leaving an extra cell phone plugged in 24/7 using AA/Google as an automatic Nav system -no good because the USB port in the batcave turns off with the ignition and the cell phone would die with two days of non use requiring opening up the door and restarting the phone.

Stock Nav systems solved the full time Nav problem, but the charging pad in the Premier didn't solve the charging problem....every time I crest a "teacup" hill the phone jumps up and stops charging if it doesn't drop exactly into place.

Sunglass Holder: It's the compartment behind the radio. It used to be on top of the dash, just like in the older Malibu's. You can also use the side arm console.
