I am looking at a 2017 with the tow equip.. How is yours doing with your 20 ft camper. Mine is 19' and 3500 lbs. Not sure about towing with a Traverse. Want to read opinions 1st.

Hi guys. I just purchased a 2015 Traverse without the tow package. What's everyones thoughts if I add a hitch, transmission cooler and oil cooler. Do you think it will handle a 6x12 utility trailer and my 2015 Ranger 6x6. Together I'm guessing around 3220180930_120840_1564491504814.jpg00 pounds. This would be the heaviest I'd be towing. Top speed would be 55 mph. to take it to my Polaris dealer 45 min. away.

If your towing capacity is 2000 pounds, adding only the hitch will give you the 2,000 pounds. The factory tow package add cooling for the engine, transmission, wiring, etc, etc.

My grand Cherokee came with the factory tow pkg that raise the capability from 2500 to 6200 pounds. There is a big difference in the rear suspension also.

You'll probably do OK. I pulled a Rockwood Roo 19 hybrid, about 4100 lbs loaded and wasn't happy. BUT I was pulling an 8 x 8 ft sail through the air. Your setup doesn't look like it would be doing that.

If you PM your email address, I can send you a bunch of info on adding the factory towing equipment.

Note that GM won't warrant it to 5200 lbs, but so what?
