High Mileage - what goes wrong?
I have a 2012 LS FWD with 130K miles on it. I had the dreaded timing chain issue (and fixed it), and this summer had to get the generator replaced. Is there anything lurking out there that I don't know about? I'm hanging on the edge, deciding if I should keep this for my son, who is turning 16 soon (it will be paid off) or is the transmission or other major part getting ready to fail.
Any thoughts or experiences up in this range of mileage? My dad has a long history of GM front drive trannies going at 150K miles, and my 02 Trailblazer did it at that point, too - which to me is not bad. But in this case, it may make the difference to be about selling or keeping now.
