White smoke coming from grill

This morning on my way to work I noticed what looked like white smoke coming out of my grill. When I got to work I popped my hood and didn’t see any smoke coming from there but it was still coming out of the grill. What can be the problem?

Maybe nothing. Rain the night before or was the radiator wet with dew on startup? Could be water boiling off the surface of the radiator. Not uncommon to see after driving in the rain.

If still coming out after sitting on a warm dry day...then it could be a leak.....but then there would likely also be dried antifreeze residue on the radiator surface near the leak.

Yes it down poured for quiet a few hours last night. I didn’t have time before work to look at my radiator or check my antifreeze. It hasn’t been driven since this morning and it’s warm and sunny today

Also hot antifreeze has a smell to it, water vapor doesn't....if the white vapor doesn't smell it likely OK.

Ah, my dear feminine flower.... sister to my wife.... it's almost like I know you. The engine starts smoking, so you finish your commute and then see what's going on. I am glad the story has a happy ending. This time. Just out of curiosity, when a strange noise, or strange smell, or strange smoke, or a strange dragging sound comes into my life, I can't help myself but to pull over and discover the source of the new phenomena. That way, you can actually see the fine details of the issue at hand. Then, after I top off empty fluid containers, or birds from the grille, or clear the joggers from beneath my undercarriage, the mystery no longer haunts my as I proceed my merry way. The time it takes at the end of your journey is approximately the same as finding a safe space to pull over and see the issue at it's peak performance. And it may save you a pile of heartache later, as well.
