Rebuilt engine won't start.
I rebuilt the engine, spun rod bearing. Had it apart for a couple months. Won't start. Put a scanner on it with live data and have 57+ psi fuel pressure, only loses 3 psi in 5 minutes, has a rpm reading while cranking so the crank sensor is reading. I try to start it and it fires and almost starts, then any further cranking gets just a tiny amount of firing.
My question is, do I need to bleed the fuel rails since this is a non return system? I took the intake off to replace the injectors and cracked open the fuel rail crossover line. I got some air out, then with it off, there were air bubbles coming up out of the fitting. If air locked could replacing the injectors not be needed? I figured that being out so long dried them out and plugged them with residue.
