I've put together this chart to help keep track of month to month sales on the Lambdas. This is a 13 month running total so we can see year over year sales numbers as well.

I wonder what accounts for the huge uptick in Acadia sales and the seeming recent stagnation in Traverse movement?  Shocked

Smiley I hope the dealerships finally went down on the price my wife and I looked at one before we went with the Traverse. I was the same color with the same options and a good $5,000 more, there is only one dealership in my area and it’s not all that great at all. There are 3 Chevrolet dealerships and two of them are very good. The one thing that Acadia had that you could not get on the Traverse was the heads up display I had that on a Pontiac years ago and loved it don’t know why GM don’t offer it on more vehicles.

The car lots keep running out of Traverses where I live. So that hurts sales. for sure.

The more I look at it the more it looks like the stock levels affected the sales. I bought mine in January and that was the first time you could find them on Canadian lots since last summer.

It was funny as they had the year end clearance deals on 2009 and there were none to be had.

Oh this is also why I think the Acadia sales surged in 2010.....   3.6L V-6 VVT DI (LLT) as it was offered in the Acadia for the first time.

Present sales create future inventory.  Allocation.

The comments above about supply issues seem to make sense.  When I've taken my car in for service or oil changes, I like to browse around the dealer lot and showrooms.  They're a Cadillac, Buick, Chevrolet, and GMC dealer so it's easy to count Lambdas in different versions.  Traverse always seems to have fewer examples sitting on the lot than the Enclave or Acadia.

Cool!  When I bought mine (2009 model in Oct/Nov 2008) the regional sales rep for GM was concerned about getting enough of them on the road.  I guess he's not worried any more wink

Sales chart updated for June. At this pace, GM is on track to sell nearly a quarter million Lambdas in 2010!
