USNative - can you tell me which of the 2 forms you are using -
1) the Quick Reply form that can be activated at the bottom of the thread topic
2) the full reply form you get by clicking "reply" that has the smiley above it, etc?

There's a difference?  I thought there was only one way to reply....I don't see a reply with a smiley above it either.  (sorry, I know you weren't talking to me, but I'm confused about quick reply vs. full reply)

the "standard" way to reply is to click the Reply or Quote link, which takes you to the reply page. There, you have all the buttons to modify text like bold, italics, font color, etc. In addition, there are smileys above the reply dialog box.

In your profile, you can go to 'Look and Layout Preferences' and enable a "quick reply" box that shows up at the bottom of the thread page (this page). That way, you can simply scroll to the bottom and type in your reply without having to go to another page. If you haven't done it, there are LOTS of ways to customize your forum experience here in your profile. You can have new posts show up at the top or bottom, you can return to the thread after making a post, many options.

Thanks!  I've never changed the look and layout, just use whatever the default is.  Works good for me as is.  (but still does the jump thing when my posts are long)
