Is it possible for me to get the NAV app for my 2013 Traverse that does not currently have it.  I know it is being worked on, but is it possible for me to get it myself?

I know the head units for both are different.  The one I ordered doesn't have Nav.

One of the others on the lot had Nav and they have Nav specific buttons on the head unit.

So the two are different.

So you would be looking at buying the entire unit, plus antenna.

But no magic box to just add it.

I was lead to believe there may be an app, GoGo link or something like that, that can be downloaded to the unit that would provide a link to my phone and give me Nav on the screen.

There are Mylink versions that allow installation of a nav app called Bringo.  But that is only available on the Sonic and Spark, not the other Mylink radios as this time, as far as I know.

I'm guessing GM figured it could attract younger buyers with less money to spend by offering a bring your own navigation option to their lower priced models, but figured it could sucker the higher priced model buyers into paying a lot of money for a built in nav (I'm one of the suckers).  Will be interesting to see what they do with their app store stuff they announced for future model years
