I have a 2010 8 passenger traverse. The middle bench seat no longer folds in and goes forward. I can lay it flat. But that's it. I can't even slide the seats forward. This makes like a little more difficult with 5 little ones in tow. Anybody have a similar issue? Was it an easy fix or something it had to be serviced for.

I don't have a bench so I don't know how it works.  But if it's been getting harder and now won't work, I'd get under it with a can of spray lubricant and start spraying places where it looks like there's a pivot point.  Also I'd spray the slider tracks.

If it happened suddenly, then something may have "broke."

someone had a similar problem--
this is what they posted/

"The dealer fixed my seat today.  The cable that controls the smart slide mechanism was not run properly resulting in the malfunction."

try to climb in from the back and look for a loose cable.
