Don't think I asked this here yet.  When I bought the truck, the salesman told me bucket seats were removeable.  Learned that summer they were not.  Going on another big trip soon, has anyone successfully, and without damage, removed one of the bucket seats.  If I could remove just one, I would be golden...

another one of those salesmen.... Beatdown   (oh sure theyre removable-- now sign here!).

You dont mention if you have-- but the 3rd row IS removable- and does add a little more cargo space.

The manual actually has directions on how to do it.
I myself have not done it. But I know someone on the Acadia forum did- and got more room when he needed to carry more stuff
you can remove either the 60 or 40 section- or both.
Heres a pic of what it looks like with the 60 portion removed. I think its 2 bolts per side and it slides out...
It frees up space- that you may need on a trip where you need all the room you can get (or want to lighten your Lambda for towin purposes)

imagine that 40 portion FOLDED down- thats a nice thick piece or real estate that can be freed up.
Also take note the 'hidden' compartment in the area behind the 3rd row has also come out.

Sure wish I could view that picture rb.

I guess you could use it for extra towing capacity like someone said, but I might take it out just to lose 100 lbs or so.  blob

Taking out the third row is simple.  Just one bolt for either side.

I don't understand what you mean by taking the third row out. On my 2011 Traverse both the 60 and 40 sections fold down. Is that what you mean or are you trying to take them out all together?

the 3rd row can be removed entirely.
couple of bolts and the entire seat assembly can be removed and set aside in the garage.

Several members have done this to get more space when moving stuff. (The cargo area door also comes off).
theres a post on the acadia forum of an acadia with the 3rd row removed.
Instructions are also in the owners manual.
