Most definitely avoid the 09s. They have known issues with the timing chain stretch and trans waveplates, both of which have extended coverage (I assume transferable?) to 10/120k but IMO not worth the hassle or risk. My 10 has hasn't had those but has had plenty of others. '11s seem better, '12+ as suggested seems the way to go.

I bought a 2012 as a CPO, and it has been great so far.  Well, the only issue I have had is the rear A/C system.  Doesn't want to cool, but I think I got it fixed now....ironically at the time I don't need A/C anymore!

I know the 2009's get a bad rap, but I have been very happy with my 2009 FWD with towing package.  I'm now over 116,000 miles and still going strong.  Failures I had that were covered under warranty were the water pump and power steering pump.  The item I had to pay for was the front engine mount which was just outside the warranty at 103,000 miles.  What I didn't like about that was it was at the dealer for an oil change (and they always do an inspection) at 99,800 miles.  Then when parts came in for the power steering pump I took back in for that at 103,000 miles and that's when I was told the engine mount needed to be replaced and I had to pay for that.  I wish I would have joined this forum earlier because I saw were the engine mount is not that hard to change (thanks to rbarrios again) and I could have done it myself.  I have not had any problem with the transmission, knock on wood!  Smiley  No A.C. problems either and that gets used a lot here in Phoenix.  Sometimes it looks to me that the traverse does better in a warm climate. Cool
